Onze opinie:
Alhoewel Be Cool niet op het niveau geraakt van Get Short is het wel een onderhoudende film en veel mensen zullen er zonder twijfel plezier aan beleven. Het feit dat er veel bekende gezichten rondlopen zorgt ervoor dat het acteerwerk boven de middelmaat uitstijgt en John Travolta is nog maar eens perfect gecast als Chili Palmer. Het feit dat The Rock een homo zanger speelt is een toegevoegde bunes, net zoals de subtiele commentaren richting zowel de film- als de muziekindustrie. Al bij al een perfecte film voor wat luchtig plezier.
