Als Jerry per ongeluk alle videobanden in de videotheek van z’n beste vriend Mike wist, besluiten de vrienden de films opnieuw op te nemen

Onze opinie:
Be Kind Rewind is niet een typische Jack Black slapstick komedie ook al zijn er nogal wat domme grappen present. In eerste instantie is de film nogal simpel maar terwijl het verhaal zich ontplooit wordt een wat dramatischere toon aangeslagen die de film naar een hoger niveau tilt en er zelfs bijna een drama van maakt. We waren gelukkig verrast om een combinatie te krijgen van goede grappen (vooral de ‘Swedened’ moviescènes) met een zeer emotionele ondertoon die zeker naar het einde toe de film doet sprankelen. Alhoewel er geen prijzen gewonnen zullen worden met Be Kind Rewind is het toch een blinkende diamant voor diegenen die hem vinden.
