Onze opinie:
Naar Transformers kijk je voor de speciale effecten en de actiescenes waarbij Autobots en Decepticons met elkaar in de clinch gaan. Het verhaal rondom de mensen die wat rondlopen in de film doet niet zoveel ter zake maar dat maakt niet uit, en als het op zich wat meevalt is dat goed meegenomen. Hier heb je eenzelfde opzet, maar het verhaal is ronduit stupide terwijl de echte actie amper in beeld wordt gebracht. Ja, we krijgen wolkenkrabbers te zien die in elkaar vallen maar dan wel enkel op de achtergrond… Godzilla die vecht tegen andere gigantische monsters? In de achtergrond! Waarom? En het einde… een stad in puin en mensen die nog net niet staan te juichen omdat Godzilla gewonnen heeft? Hoe dom kan je het maken? Héél dom dus…
