Deze accountant kan niet alleen diep in de boeken van bedrijven duiken, hij is ook een ervaren moordenaar en zijn nieuwe klant kan beide talenten goed gebruiken

Onze opinie:
Ben Affleck is Christian Wolff, boekhouder voor allerlei gevaarlijke organisaties, en daarnaast ook nog huurmoordenaar. Wanneer hij het wat rustiger aan wil doen besluit hij een legitiem bedrijf als klant aan te nemen, maar al snel komt hij erachter dat er nogal wat zaken niet pluis zijn waardoor hij zijn niet-boekhoudkundige skills al snel nodig heeft. The Accountant is geen al te bekende titel, maar met onder andere Affleck, J.K. Simmons en John Lithgow kunnen we totaal niet klagen over de acteerprestaties. Het verhaal op zich is echter totaal niet origineel waardoor het een gemiddelde actiefilm blijft die nergens écht in uitblinkt. Leuk voor tussendoor dus.
