Sequels zijn maar raar of zelden even goed als de originele films, en als er meerdere sequels uitgebracht worden zie je meestal dat de kwaliteit met elke nieuwe aflevering verder de diepte in gaat. Zo ook met de Underworld franchise waarvan deze uit 2016 stammende episode evenzeer een complete ramp is geworden.
